We are excited to announce the six selected participants of Het Nieuwe Oost.
Those selected will receive a stipend to work on new music (plus free rehearsal space time) over 7 weeks, culminating in a paid public performance of their new music during Het Nieuwe Oost showcase and fair!
Showcase and a Music Fair featuring music related businesses and organizations in Oost will take place 12 July at De Buurtcamping Oosterpark. To attend the Music Fair with your business or organization, please register HERE.
Isora
Original compositions inspired by poetry, Spanish folk and flamenco music are mixed with ambient electronic soundscapes.
JUNO
With synths, tuba, sax and drums, JUNO’s danceable acoustic electronic music takes you on a trip of highs and lows.
Fabian Campuzano
Using tuba and live electronics, Fabian explores the interaction between acoustic sound and real-time electronic processing.
Vincent Pino
Vincent’s musical style blends the purity of (South and North American) folk with jazz and blues.
Twins
Giuseppe Doronzo’s electro-acoustic solo project with baritone saxophone explores themes of duality, identity & transformation.
Fragmented Memories
Blending atmospheric Dungeon Synth soundscapes with fantasy and science-fiction themes to create haunting melodies.
Thanks to our first grant from AFK, musicians with ties to Amsterdam Oost have been invited to apply to an open call for a chance to participate in this program.
